An ambulance for our Magical Children Hospital

Short Brief

Summary We’re raising funds for a life-saving ambulance that will be used to transport children who may urgently need oxygen or a blood transfusion. This ambulance will be also be used to transport and give first aid to mothers in labour pain, mothers with complications after giving birth, and even for urgent surgical procedures. The ambulance can include a small laboratory and blood cross-matching equipment for urgent blood transfusion. The ambulance will be operated by doctors and nurses. About us: we are Whisper, a charity that runs a children’s hospital and a maternity unit in Jinja, Uganda. Our hospital is a happy, caring, child-friendly place providing high-quality healthcare. We are open every day, around the clock. We have a social worker and a nutritionist on the staff so we can follow up when a child’s circumstances may be contributing to their ill-health. Our work has very high impact; we estimate that we save a life that would not otherwise have been saved for every £1089 ($1503) in donated funds; to see how we calculated this, see our website: https://www.whisperorphans/us/about-impact. We are registered as a charity in the UK and Czech Republic.
